Creating a Neuro-Inclusive Learning Environment

A session exploring, how practitioners can implement environmental strategies to become a neuro-inclusive early year’s setting. We will look at the importance of the role of the adult, in supporting the development of early skills and share ideas in how to support our youngest learners to understand and celebrate difference.

The Importance of Physical Development in the Early Years

This session will focus on the importance on physical development in the early years. There will be a particular focus on the importance of proprioception and vestibular balance, and how we can effectively support this development, within the early years setting.

10th September 2025, 3.45pm – 4.45pm
Developing Executive Functions through Play

This session will provide practitioners with an understanding of how executive functions develop in the early years. Throughout the session, we will explore how we can use play to develop and rehearse these key skills.

8th October 2025, 3.45pm – 4.45pm
Understanding and Supporting Autism in the Early Years

During this session we will explore the emerging characteristics of Autism in young children. Introducing early years practitioners to strategies that can be implemented within the setting.

5th November 2025, 3.45pm – 4.45pm
Understanding and Supporting Sensory Integration Difference

The session will focus on the sensory world, and how, for some of our young children with neurodevelopmental conditions, this has been impacted. We will explore hyper-sensitive and hypo-sensitive presentations, and consider best-practise strategies that can be implemented in the early years setting.

3rd December 2025, 3.45pm – 4.45pm
Exploring Emotions and Behaviour

This session will extend practitioner's knowledge of how children learn to manage their emotions, and how emotions influence behaviour. We will discuss the impact of neurodivergence on emotional regulation in the early years, and share practical strategies for supporting emotional regulation in your setting.

14th January 2026, 3.45pm – 4.45pm
Supporting Early Communication

This session will explore how language is acquired, looking at the developmental stages/phases of early communication and language. We will focus on how to support this process for young children who may be showing a difference in this prime area of the EYFS Foundation curriculum.

11th February 2026, 3.45pm – 4.45pm
Understanding Attachment and Trauma

This session will focus on exploring attachment, trauma and the developing brain. Best practice strategies will be introduced focusing on taking a trauma informed approach.
