Education Supporters
Students, parents, staff and your education setting can benefit from fundraising projects to help us provide more support to young people.
Fundraising
At the ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity we believe that education should be for everyone, be fun and ignite students interest.
We are not just a charity that supports individuals, families, schools, businesses and many other organisations but one that even when asking for support tries to do this in a way that will support the work that those who help us do.
We know that 1:5 of your students will be neurodiverse (some prefer neurodivergent), some will have been diagnosed and many won’t. We need your support to help us provide lifespan support, especially to young people.
How students, parents, staff and your education setting can benefit from fundraising projects
It will help build confidence
Students, regardless of their age or gender are in able to learn. They can gain many leadership skills and confidence through learning and fundraising projects. Being able to manage a project from start to finish and relate it back to a physical item or idea that they have designed helps children of all ages to think through processes and be able to vocalise their steps when talking about it – a valuable life skill.
Helps develop teamwork and team bonding
Teamwork is essential in the classroom and in the real world and fundraising projects allow require students to do just that. They work with each other, their parents and their teachers to achieve their overall goal. Fundraising at schools allows for the sharing of ideas and helps them learn to compromise.
Provides a sense of value and understanding of opportunities
When you fundraise, students will be able to see the process and more importantly understand why they are participating in this. Students will then understand the importance of communities and how meeting goals can be vital for success. It allows them to get a sense of belonging in a wider team. These skills are important now more than ever.
It can help make the curriculum exciting
All fundraising can be aligned to your curriculum and help school staff to better engage students. Whether designing posters, managing donations, writing to local businesses or just presenting ideas, fundraising can be tailored to make lessons in Art, Maths, English etc more exciting and different. This will better engage students.
Working together for the benefit of all.
The ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity cares about neurodiverse young people but also about their families and those who support them.
We believe that fundraising should benefit not just us but those who fundraise for us. That is why we consider fundraising as a useful tool for the education setting as highlighted above.
